Requirements and Description

ERMC Aviation is currently an experienced Industrial Controls Technician for the DFW Airport.

Compensation: Up to 75K base plus OT, Plus Travel Pay.  This is an hourly role.  Base pay will NOT exceed $36.00 hr.  Additional comp will come from OT and Perdiem. 

Travel: Must be able to travel up to 30% to various airports we maintain around the country.

An Industrial Controls Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment in an industrial setting. Here are the key duties and responsibilities for this role:


Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
  • lectrical Systems: The technician maintains and troubleshoots electrical systems, including control panels, motor starters, and other components.
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs): They work with PLCs to ensure proper functioning of automated processes.
  • Instrumentation: Troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation devices such as sensors, transmitters, and flow meters. Calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting instruments such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors, and level indicators.
Preventive Maintenance:
  • Scheduled Checks: Regularly inspecting equipment to identify potential issues before they cause disruptions.
  • Calibrations: Performing calibrations on instruments to maintain accuracy.
Safety Compliance:
  • Adherence to Regulations: Following safety guidelines and industry standards to prevent accidents.
  • Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond to urgent requests and emergencies.
  • Computer Proficiency: Using software tools for diagnostics and programming.
  • Electrical Systems: Repairing or replacing electrical components, wiring, and connections.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
Installation and Upgrades:
  • New Equipment: Installing new instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • System Upgrades: Upgrading existing systems for improved efficiency.
  • Blueprint Reading: Understanding technical drawings and schematics.

- E & I experience
- Mechanical knowledge
Industrial maintenance background
- Programmable logic controllers expertise.  Ability to troubleshoot required, programming highly preferred.
- Calibration skills
- Schematics interpretation capability
- Precision measuring instruments proficiency
- Maintenance experience
- Sensors knowledge
- Electrical experience
- Hydraulics understanding
Industrial electrician experience
- High voltage familiarity
- Field service background
