Requirements and Description

ERMC has stations in more than 200 airports. We provide a full range of ground aviation services, from ticketing and ground handling to cabin cleaning and cargo. ERMC also provides operations and maintenance for terminals and support facilities in some of the world's busiest airport locations.

Industrial Electrical Technician (IET)
will have experience in the direct troubleshooting of electrical and electronic control systems, including a programmable logic control (PLC) environment.
• IET shall be capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, blueprints, and symbols, PLC and variable frequency drive (VFD) programming, troubleshooting and repair, including editing and transferring of PLCs and software including system logic controllers (SLC), PLCs, Rockwell RSView, RSLogix 5, 500, and 5000), and PLC version/series 5 (PLC‐5) and version/series 5 SLC (PLC‐SLC5).
• IET shall be capable of troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing AC and DC motors including single and poly phase motors, as well as associated motor controls, brakes, and clutches.
• Additionally, the IET shall have a minimum of two (2) year experience in an aviation environment with direct and specific experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing equipment including baggage conveyor systems.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
• provide electrical guidance, maintenance, and oversight of all mechanical/electrical systems of Baggage Handling equipment covered under this Contract
• assist technicians with challenging electrical repairs
• troubleshoot electrical issues
• PM development, coordination, perform PM
• participate and lead recommendation and procurement of electrical and mechanical spare parts; cooperate, coordinate with and assist the Airport concerning electrical issues on the BHS
• and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Certified electrician with a minimum “Journeyman” status:
• industrial electrical motor controls experience and electrical automation experience, on staff forty (40) hours per week and available on call twenty‐four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week.
• Prior experience with baggage handling systems and warehouse is preferred.


Standard qualifications:
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Completing
• Must possess a Government ID and social security card.
• Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
• Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
• Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
• Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
