Position Summary

The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shuttle bus operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services for passengers and employees. This role provides direct supervision of drivers and field staff, monitors service performance, ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations, and responds to operational incidents in real time.

The Field Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact in the field and is responsible for maintaining professional customer service standards while supporting operational continuity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily field operations of shuttle bus services to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
  • Monitor driver performance, attendance, and adherence to company policies and safety procedures.
  • Ensure on-time service delivery and proper route coverage.
  • Conduct routine observations/inspections of employees, equipment, and work areas
  • Conduct fueling or assign fueling responsibilities while on shift
  • Respond to operational incidents, accidents, and service disruptions in accordance with company protocols.
  • Complete incident reports, shift reports, and operational documentation accurately and timely.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and client representatives.
  • Provide coaching, direction, and support to drivers and field personnel.
  • Enforce safety standards, company policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Assist with staffing coverage, shift assignments, and operational adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor customer service interactions and address passenger concerns professionally.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and operational briefings.

 


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in transportation, logistics, or related field preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or high-pressure situations
  • Basic computer skills (email, reports, scheduling systems)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in bus shuttle, transportation, airport, or logistics operations
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and transportation procedures
  • Experience handling incident investigations and reporting
  • Bilingual skills (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with dispatch or fleet management systems

Working Conditions

  • Primarily field-based position requiring frequent movement between operational locations
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions
  • May require standing, walking, and climbing in and out of vehicles for extended periods
  • Must be available for emergency response and operational support as needed
