Requirements and Description
The Industrial Maintenance & Electrical Technician will maintain, repair, and diagnose mechanical and electrical parts and equipment. Work closely with all trades such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical to ensure there is no disruption to operations in or around the contracted area(s).
Responsibilities require but are not limited to:
- Assist electrical, HVAC, and plumbing technicians
- Be able to perform scheduled and non-scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
- Monitor HVAC airflow and distribution in Terminals
- Change HVAC filters
- Maintain, repair, and replace electrical motors
- Maintain, repair, and replace water and hydraulic pumps
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues that may arise
- Ensure the proper use of all tools for cutting, bending, and welding of equipment
- Carryout detailed evaluation of equipment to ensure they are in good condition for proper use
- Carryout repairs on ceilings, floors, and walls by combining plaster of spackle and painting
- Inspect equipment such as refrigerators and air conditioners from time to time for proper cleaning, speed, temperature, and adequate lubrication
- Repair and change locks in the building and perform complex lock servicing to ensure maximum safety of all people
- Shall be responsible for the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting the following systems:
· Passenger boarding bridges, 400 Hertz ground power, 3 phase motor controls, cabin air conditioning systems, electronics, PLC, VFD systems, and solid waste triturator system. In addition, but not limited to inspections, electronics, limit switches, circuit boards, inverters, tires, gears, hydraulics, pumps, cylinders, and various peripheral equipment.
· Assist in repairs of BHS and its components as directed team Leader or BHS Manager to develop mechanical / electrical skills which will provide opportunity for a quality BHS performance and personal advancement.
Requirements:
- Have good knowledge of electricity, carpentry and plumbing among other technical skills
- Excellent ability to communicate system problems to both co-workers and management for proper understanding
- Exhibit good mechanical skills to handle equipment to avoid causing injuries to self and others on ground
- Can evaluate computer related work orders in accordance with accuracy
- Provide all basic hand tools
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must possess a Government ID and social security card.
- Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
- Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
- Able to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
